Hola!!

https://www.facebook.com/livingraceacademy/

in ENGLISH:
Help us to continue building the school for more than 200 children in Ghana. Contribute with what you can and it will be a lot!
Hello!! Here we are again, to those who know us first say: Thank you very much! With all your energy and contribution we have been able to make many investments and activities in Living Grace Academy, Anyakpor, Ghana!! And for those who are getting to know us, say: Welcome!
We are a group of people who support and collaborate so that the school continues to function, fulfilling its mission. Our adventure began a few years ago, we took our first steps and the path constantly opens up for us with the face of saying: “what's up, aren't you going to stay there watching? Let's keep this going and always missing! "

And now that? Now we need funds to build a new classroom that will be used by boys and girls from 3 to 5 years old, join the new initiative and contribute your grain of sand for the construction of the new classroom!!
Where? At the Living Grace Academy school created by Pastor James several years ago in the Anyakpor community, very close to Ada Foah.

https://www.facebook.com/livingraceacademy/
Why? For two fundamental reasons:
1- The current classroom (class) has become small and out of the minimum practicality that a classroom for children of that age should have. There is no place for a table, children sitting on benches and chairs; there is no place for them to nap, nor is there a comfortable place to change them if necessary. The living room is not made or intended for a classroom, but rather a continuous warehouse to the kitchen.
2- The current classroom (class) for the more than 20 girls and boys from 3 to 5 years old is attached to the place that serves as kitchen and storage room. This is not only cumbersome due to logistical issues related to the passage of people to the kitchen while they are in class, but also due to the issue of spaces to store products within the classroom without, and above all, security issues. Cooking with butane gas with 20 little people running the risk of any accident.

How do you plan to build the new classroom? The current situation forces us to seek funding today to build a new classroom. We have land, what we lack are economic resources to buy all the materials and pay the people who build it.
At the labor level, since our beginnings we have chosen to offer this job (paid) to parents of school students who have the trade of bricklayer and at the moment find themselves without or with little work, nothing more beautiful for a father than building his house. his son's school, and for a son whose father is also the builder of his school!
And as for the materials, the school has a lot of sand left over, an essential material for making bricks, what we lack is everything else. Since cheap and low quality construction materials can be found everywhere, more expensive but of better quality and durability, we look for the latter, hopefully we can put them together!

Partial results of the project: more than 20 actions already carried out since 2015: Construction of classrooms, warehouse, purchase of teaching material, donation of clothing and sports equipment, various repairs, purchase of two small computers, among other actions necessary to continue the operation and expand the school so that during 2023 it has more than 200 students.

A bit of history and news about the project and the school:
"Ghana Sonrisas" (Ghana smiles) is a project that was born with the aim of collaborating in the education and meeting place for boys and girls from families in situations of economic vulnerability.
Living Grace Academy offers a meeting place, education and daily meals to more than 200 young people, girls and boys from the community of Anyakpor, Ada, Ghana.
Contact began in 2015 and the first meeting was held with the owner of the school, Pastor James, who informed us and showed us on the ground the needs of the school to continue with its development and daily activities for most of the time. weather. 100 girls and boys who attended infant and primary classes.
It was decided to create the "Ghana Sonrisas" project in order to give visibility and raise funds to solve many of these needs.
During the first months the contribution was very large, being able to cover maintenance costs of the building, purchase of teaching material, sports shirts, bicycles for teachers and two small laptops, among other investments made. The money was raised through crowdfunding and private donations.

Since 2016 we continue working together with Pastor James to solve specific and urgent needs. Among them, the construction of a new classroom to be able to expand its training offer. Since 2016 the school begins to give classes to young people in the upper cycle, reaching 2022 with about 200 students in total in the three educational cycles.
In 2023 another visit to the school is made, providing didactic material, sports shirts and toys for the little ones. During this visit they also work together with Pastor James on current needs, progress and define the new action plan in the short and medium term.
